More than 800,000 Australian children (under 14 years of age) live each day in poverty. Through no fault of their own they are growing up in an environment where access to many of the daily opportunities of the Australian way of life are denied to them.

While other children in Australia are learning to develop and grow skills and attitudes that will provide for their future, these children are learning the attitudes of poverty, failure and neglect.

While to many Australia may be a land of opportunity to Aussie kids living in poverty it is a land of little hope and not much prospect of a brighter future.

But it doesn't have to be that way!

The Learning to Play Program is designed to give Australian children, living in poverty, the opportunity to fully participate in Australian society and develop the attitudes and skills that will enable them to change their futures.

Through the support of your donations the Learning to Play Program overcomes the barriers created by poverty and provides the means whereby all Aussie kids can learn the attitudes of success and hope for a brighter future.

Through the Learning to Play program Family Focus Australia provides children living in poverty with the financial aid and support to attend school excursions and camps; to participate in community sport and recreation programs; to be involved in extra-curricula learning activities. From school supply to footy boots, the Learning to Play program lets disadvantaged Australian children know that they are valued and that they can succeed and change their futures.
