Realtionships, and family, are the single, most important association that any of us will ever have in our lives. They are the foundation from which everything else that we do flows .
As biological beings we are designed to exist in relationships, we are created to live and grow in some sort of family structure. It is the means by which we learn, by which we determine our identity with the rest of the world. YET, in our modern society we allow our relationships and our family to come a poor second to every other influence in our life - work, finances, social status, politics, religion, the acquisition of wealth. For many of us, the things out there in the world demand more of our attention and effort than our relationships and family. Somehow in developing our modern society we got it back to front. We seem to think that success in our work or social lives can create success in our relationships and family.
What we do in the world each day can not strengthen our relationships or family BUT what we do in our relationships and family can strengthen what we do in the world!
