The basic things that most of us take for granted - adequate food, sufficient clothing, secure shelter, and hope for something better are hard to come by for an Australian child living in poverty.
Poverty isn't just about money but that's all anyone ever seems to talk about.
Hand outs don't solve poverty they just reinforce dependency and keep the poverty cycle going. Soon Australia won't be able to afford the hand outs any more. Then people will start dying.
Poverty is about attitude and freedom can only be achieved by changing attitudes!
We give Aussie kids living in poverty, and their families, a hand up to a better future. We provide the means, guidance and support to develop new attitudes and skills to escape the poverty cycle.
